Upcoming Highlights

As the only musician listed in 2020’s Forbes Hungary “30 under 30” list, Hungarian-Nicaraguan-American violinist, Abigel Kralik is quickly gaining attention as “a shooting star in the truest sense of the word” (MRK).

As a passionate soloist and chamber musician, she has appeared as a featured artist at the Verbier, Clasclas, Budapest, Krzyzowa Mozaic and Moritzburg Festivals, as well as the Perlman Music Program.

Abigel began her studies with Ácsné Szily Éva, Perényi Eszter, and Kristóf Baráti in Budapest. Subsequently, she earned her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees from The Juilliard School, under the tutelage of Itzhak Perlman and Laurie Smukler. While at Juilliard, Abigel was a proud recipient of the Kovner Fellowship.

During the 23-24 season, Abigel has numerous exciting projects on the horizon as Artist in Residence at the Queen Elisabeth Chapel in Belgium. There will be a release of Brahms Violin Concerto, recorded with Mexico City Philharmonic and Scott Yoo, as well as performances of Richter’s Violin Concerto with Brugger Ensemble, and Bach’s Brandenburg Concertos with the Mozaic Orchestra. The season will culminate with Mozart’s Double Violin Concerto alongside Augustin Dumay and the Orchestre Royal de Chambre de Wallonie.

With impeccable intonation and intoxicating passion, she enthused the audience and the press alike.
